After working for the last ten years on Java Enterprise applications, and having seen some successful and a lot of overcomplicated, expensive and unsuccessful projects, I've really started to question whether it's possible to design and develop modular, reusable and efficient applications using a consistent and repeatable process.
That's why I became interested in modular architectures and OSGi as enabling technologies to build modular, dynamically extensible service oriented applications. |

Biographical note
Filippo Diotalevi started his career on 2000, after receiving his degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Padova.
Before founding Knokode in 2009, to focus on OSGi application development, he has worked as developer, architect, team leader and consultant for many companies like IBM, Sourcesense, Fastweb and Vodafone, in Italy, Uk and Germany.
He his author of two books about Java Enterprise development:
